At Gap Inc., we believe it’s important for future leaders to understand all facets of retail – from concept and design all the way to marketing and selling product to customers both in-store and online. We designed the inter-disciplinary Rotational Management Program (RMP) for college graduates who are filled-to-the-brim with opportunity and eager to learn the retail business and the workings of a global company.   Highly competitive and fast-paced, our RMP program is a ten-month training where you’ll rotate through Merchandising and Inventory Management while getting immerse in design, digital, production and stores. You’ll learn the ins and outs of Gap Inc. and receive hands-on business experience with brand leaders.

Our Hiring Process & Timeline

  1. Apply on our career site
  2. Complete an Online Assessment
  3. Resume screen by Early Talent Recruiting team
  4. 1st Round virtual behavior-based interview (30 minutes)
  5. 2nd Round virtual project-based interview (1 hour)
  6. Final interview day including two competency-based interviews and 1 group interview (5 hour day)

Inventory Management

Inventory Management employees guide financial and inventory investment decisions–so you have to be analytically savvy, with an ability to assess a wide range of data to make profitable decisions for both in season and for the future. 

You're forecasting sales, triggering promotions and executing markdowns to capitalize on opportunities in season and strategically predict the future by determining product demand, style by style, for upcoming seasons through in-depth analysis of historical sales and current business.

Merchandising

In Merchandising, you're responsible for seeing product through the eyes of the customer. Each season, you work with cross-functional teams to develop a trend-right collection of styles and predict customer needs to build compelling assortments for markets around the world.  

You’re comfortable telling your products' stories to groups of all sizes and people from all levels and react to in-season business to drive sales, profitability and growth.
